Real Flow’s appointment of Kasey McDonald as Head of Property Management ANZ signals a more deliberate push into one of the real estate industry’s most commercially important and operationally pressured sectors.

The company has confirmed McDonald will lead its property management division across Australia and New Zealand, as Real Flow expands its focus beyond agent and vendor cashflow solutions into products designed specifically for property management businesses and landlords.

Property management has long been the engine room of many real estate agencies. It delivers recurring revenue, long-term client relationships and the operational foundation that supports many businesses through changing sales markets. Yet for many years, it has often received less attention than sales when it comes to innovation, financial tools and industry investment.

McDonald’s appointment gives Real Flow a recognised property management leader to guide its next stage of growth in the sector.

She joins the business with more than 27 years’ experience across real estate, PropTech and corporate leadership, with a career spanning business growth, operational change, team leadership and customer-focused strategy.

Her appointment comes at a time when property management businesses are facing growing pressure around profitability, staffing, landlord expectations, compliance, arrears, maintenance costs and the need for more efficient systems.

Real Flow CEO Justin Steer said the move reflected the company’s long-term commitment to the property management sector.

For more than a decade, Real Flow has focused on solving cashflow challenges for agents and vendors, Justin said. We recognise that property management has often been the forgotten cousin of the industry, despite being the backbone of agencies across Australia and New Zealand.

He said the appointment represented a significant investment in solutions designed for property management businesses and landlords.

This appointment represents a significant investment into supporting PM businesses and landlords with solutions specifically designed for their needs, he said.

McDonald said there was a clear opportunity to better support agencies, property managers and landlords through more targeted financial and operational tools.

Property management businesses play such a critical role within the real estate ecosystem, and there is a real opportunity to better support agencies, property managers and landlords through smarter financial and operational solutions, Kasey said.

I’m excited to be joining a business that has already established itself as a market leader in real estate cashflow and is now bringing that same focus and innovation into the PM space.

In her new role, McDonald will oversee growth, strategy, product development and industry engagement for Real Flow’s property management division across Australia and New Zealand.

The appointment also reflects a broader shift in the industry. As agencies look for stronger recurring revenue, better landlord relationships and more sustainable operating models, property management is no longer being treated as a back-office function.

For Real Flow, the move signals a clear intention to build a stronger presence in the property management market and support a sector that remains central to the future of real estate businesses across the region.
