A Hollywood A-lister is secretly working with a Melbourne real estate company on his latest blockbuster.
Renowned for his ‘total-emersion’ Method acting, the actor has lived the life of a real estate agent in a central Melbourne office, for the past month.
“I can’t tell you who it is” said Universal Pictures spokesperson Rita Williams, “let’s just say that it’s one of the ‘Tom’s’, the one that looks most like a real estate agent”.
The action star has been researching the lead role in his next movie ‘The Realtor’.
In it he plays an ex-special forces operative who just wants to live a quiet life as an Australian real estate agent.
However, when he gets pulled into the murky world of property development, and his family threatened, he has no choice but to fight back.
“We’ve been so impressed with his commitment to the role” says Office Manager Jac Stamp
“In fact, we celebrated his tenth sale last week! We’ve let him know that if Hollywood doesn’t work out, he’s welcome back here anytime.”
“Tom made it clear that he wanted the ‘real deal’” continues Ms Williams “And a corporate attire that he looked good in.”
For authenticity, several scenes will be shot in the various secret real estate Offices where the actor is currently working, with actual real estate professionals playing themselves.
Here’s where you come in, as extras are urgently needed.
“We have a very tight filming schedule” explained Ms Williams “We need people now!”
What the Producers Are Looking For
The producers are on the hunt for extras who embody the ultimate real estate agent vibe – think polished, flashy, and effortlessly cool. If you tick most (or all) of the boxes below, you might just be the star they’re looking for:
Socks? Never heard of them. Bare ankles only – it’s a lifestyle.
Car brand loyalty is everything. If you’re not subtly flexing your Audi or BMW steering wheel emblem in every video, are you even a real estate agent? (Sorry Porsche owners – love your work, but it’s just not the vibe).
Social media game on point. You’ve mastered the effortlessly polished, high-flying look – whether you’re at a listing, a latte run, or just pretending to be deep in thought.
Million-dollar deal energy. You might just be grabbing a flat white, but you look like you’ve closed a six-figure commission five minutes earlier.
Busy, important, and always on the phone. Real client or not – as long as you look like you’re negotiating a penthouse sale, you’re in.
If this sounds like you (and you’ve got the swagger to match), the producers want to hear from you!
If you are interested in being in the movie, either live or on Zoom, contact the Real Estate Today team on the email below before 12 noon today.
‘The Realtor’ will be released world-wide in 2026.
If you read this far, Happy April Fools. We hope you got a laugh.
