Harcourts SA CEO Reflects on a Full Circle Career Moment

ree

It’s not every day that a career comes as full circle as Heather Edwards’ has.

Now CEO of Harcourts South Australia, Heather began her real estate career as an out-going 17-year-old attending training led by none other than Harcourts Real Estate Training Centre Trainer/Assessor Ray Brincat.

Decades later, in her new leadership role, Heather finds herself working alongside Ray once again in the SA state office.

Reflecting on her early days, Heather shared, “I was very eager to learn, and overly confident for someone who knew nothing!"

"Ray's passion and knowledge inspired me to not only embrace everything Real Estate had to offer, but to do things the 'right way' too.

He challenged me and set me on the path that has led me here today. It’s incredible to now watch him do this with the current generation of real estate professionals.”

Ray Brincat, who remains an integral part of Harcourts’ training team, remembers Heather well. “Oh, I remember her,” Ray said with a wry smile. “She was a memorable student in all sorts of ways! To see how far she’s come is both a joy and a testament to her commitment, perseverance, and passion for this industry.”

Heather’s return to Harcourts as CEO late last year is more than just a personal milestone—it’s also a reflection of the company’s culture and values. Since its inception, Harcourts has been committed to fostering the growth of its people, ensuring that talent is nurtured, moulded, and empowered to thrive.

“This full circle moment is bigger than me,” Heather explained. “It represents what Harcourts stands for. We’re not just about property transactions; we’re about investing in individuals, helping them grow, and creating opportunities that transform lives. If my story can inspire even one young trainee to believe in themselves, then I’m happy to tell it.”

Under Heather’s leadership, Harcourts South Australia continues to focus on excellence in training, personal growth, and delivering outstanding customer experiences, ensuring that the next generation of real estate talent has every opportunity to shine.

This special intersection of paths for Heather and Ray captures the heart of Harcourts’ personal, growth-oriented culture. “It’s not lost on me how fortunate I am,” Heather shared.

“To be part of a company that not only fuels individual growth but celebrates it wholeheartedly.”
