The annual Harcourts New Zealand conference held on 19/20 May brought together over 800 team members from across New Zealand, Australia and South Africa for two days of inspiring speakers, recognition and networking with Bryan Thomson, Managing Director Harcourts New Zealand calling it the best Harcourts conference to date and the pinnacle real estate event in New Zealand.
The highlight of the event was the induction of Kevin and Andrea Deane - business owners of Kevin Deane Real Estate, based in Waikato to the prestigious Harcourts Hall of Fame.
Speaking about their award, Kevin said that he wanted to encourage any young person in the industry to aim for the top and hopefully this achievement can show them that “anything is possible” with hard work and determination.
His wife Andrea added that she was honoured to have been recognised in this way (Hall of Fame) and that it was with the support of her parents several decades ago that her and Kevin were able to fulfil so many of their dreams.
The speakers and panelists were impressive, such as world-renowned mind-power coach Robin Banks from South Africa, entrepreneur Phil M Jones from the USA, mentor Mark Dobson from Australia, Kiwi author Lisa O’Neill, Australia Paralympian Curtis McGrath and agency CEO Tina Comrie. The workshops, Q&A sessions, and specialist panels provided ample opportunities for learning and sharing.

The awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of top real estate professionals and offices across the country, recognising their dedication, performance and client service excellence.
The Top National Sales Consultant title for 2025 was awarded to Cameron Bailey, Harcourts Gold - Papanui, who has demonstrated remarkable sales success and a commitment to providing outstanding service to his clients. Tina Gao from Harcourts Best in Real Estate - East Tamaki secured second place, followed by Diego Traglia from Harcourts NorthWest - Massey North in third.
Harcourts also recognised the rising stars of the industry, with Jana Kivell from Harcourts Monarch Real Estate - Chartwell taking home the Top National Rising Star award for her remarkable potential and rapid ascent within the company.
The Top National NAI Harcourts Sales Consultant was awarded to Theo de Leeuw from NAI Harcourts Monarch Real Estate - Hamilton, while Shannon Caldwell from NAI Harcourts Regent Realty - Napier claimed the prestigious title of Top National NAI Harcourts Sales Consultant – Deal Volume for his exceptional deal-making and sales volume.
In the highly competitive field of property management, Harriet Dishington from Harcourts Accommodation Centre – Christchurch was awarded Top National Property Manager. Meanwhile, Lynne Cawthorn from Harcourts Holmwood Real Estate – Christchurch claimed the Top National Property Manager – Business Development award.
The Harcourts Auctioneer Competition was also a highlight, showcasing the skills of the competitors.
The competitors battled some challenging bidding sequences but navigated them with flair and wit, cumulating in a close competition.
The Auctioneer of the Year award went to recently crowned Australasian Auction Champion Mark McGoldrick from Harcourts Monarch Real Estate - Hamilton, while a well-deserved win for Maria Rosa from Harcourts Highland Real Estate – Queenstown saw her named as Harcourts Most Promising Auctioneer of the Year.
In the Harcourts Client Experience category, Tyler Briggs from Harcourts Team Group - Paraparaumu received top honours by being recognised by his clients for providing exceptional service, while Harcourts Monarch Real Estate was recognised with the Harcourts Foundation Outstanding Contribution Award for its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
