Redlands-based real estate professional Kylie Macdonald has joined Place Cleveland, marking a strategic career progression for the former flight attendant who has rapidly built a reputation for service excellence and results-driven performance in Brisbane’s competitive property market.
Motivated by first-hand experience with inconsistent service during her own property transactions, Macdonald transitioned into real estate with a clear point of difference: delivering the kind of customer care she found lacking.
“I’d transacted multiple times as a homeowner and was consistently underwhelmed,” Macdonald said. “It became clear there was an opportunity to lift the standard—and I knew I had the background to do it.”
That instinct has proven correct. In less than three years, Macdonald has achieved over $400,000 in gross commission income, combining high-level communication with a keen understanding of buyer and seller needs.
“My aviation background taught me how to anticipate and respond to client expectations under pressure,” she said. “Real estate gave me the platform to turn that into measurable results.”
The move to Place Cleveland also marks the beginning of a family enterprise, with Macdonald’s eldest son joining her team as a sales associate.
“He’s driven and coachable—the goal is to mentor him into a lead agent role within our business,” she said.
Place Cleveland Principal Emma Miller said Macdonald’s professionalism, integrity and strategic mindset make her a strong cultural fit.
“Kylie’s combination of discipline, emotional intelligence and ambition positions her as a leader in the making. She understands the client experience and delivers on it,” Miller said.
Macdonald will focus on the Redlands market with expansion plans into Gold Coast acreage properties, citing Place’s brand alignment, marketing infrastructure and leadership as key factors in her decision.
“I joined Place because the promise of quality and culture was clear—and has been delivered. That translates directly to client outcomes,” she said.
She also credits Miller’s leadership as a core driver of her next chapter.
“Emma leads with clarity and purpose. That kind of leadership is rare—and it’s the environment I want to grow within.”
