Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge continue to prove that auction is the best method of sale, recording a 60.9 per cent clearance rate at their in-room event The Day 10.0.

The group sent 46 properties up for auction selling more than $25 million in property, with several more properties likely to sell in the coming days.

The top sale for the day went to marketing agent Shaan Joshi who sold 20 Normans Hill Road, Onehunga under the hammer for $2.325 million. The auction saw 38 bids from four registered bidders.

The auction with the highest number of registered bidders went to marketing agents Debbie Kingi and Pat Lapalapa who recorded 16 registered bidders at their 28 Atkinson Avenue, Papatoetoe auction. After 42 bids, the property sold under the hammer for $852,000.

The most fast-paced auction for the day went to Aeshan Perera who saw a whopping 126 bids in 11 minutes for their listing at 15 Landon Avenue, Papatoetoe, which sold under the hammer for $1.611 million.

“The results speak volumes to the power of a well-executed auction campaign,” Ray WhiteManukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge CEO Adam Thomson said.

“With nearly 300 registered bidders and over 850 bids placed, the competition in the room was a clear indicator of buyer confidence.

A three-bedroom home at 40 Lawrence Crescent, Hillpark. Marketed by Charlie and Liam Brothers, was sold under the hammer for $850,000.

The seller, Jamane (pictured above with Charlie and Liam Brothers), said she had lived in the home for more than a year.

“It was a beautiful open home, which we bought in order to upsize to a three-bedroom. But now we’re selling as we’re moving overseas,” she said.

“I trusted Charlie and Liam’s advice, they were very honest so I trusted them completely when they suggested going to auction, and I’m satisfied with the result.”

Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge director Tom Rawson said there were a range of homes for a range of buyers.

“We had first-home buyers, investors, upsizers, downsizers - people from all walks of life - competing on the day. Different stories, but the same goal: they were ready to make a move,” Mr Rawson said.

“What played out in the room was exactly what auctions are all about: energy, confidence, and real decisions are being made.”

Ray White Manukau director of sales Richie Lewis said days like The Day were so rewarding to see the happy faces of buyers and sellers.

“I spent the day helping buyers and sellers sign contracts - seeing the smiles, the relief, and the excitement,” he said.

“That’s what it’s all about. Helping people take the next step in their journey is incredibly rewarding, and it makes all the effort that goes into these mega auction events worth it.”
