The evening served as a vibrant testament to the growth and collective strength of women within the New Zealand property industry, providing a dedicated space for connection, mentorship, and the celebration of professional excellence. |

Larissa Tuhaka, Chair of Leading Ladies of Real Estate New Zealand, opened the evening by welcoming both longtime members and first-time attendees to the capacity event. “The continued expansion of the community is a direct result of the high calibre of women involved; those who consistently show up to support one another and raise the professional standards across the industry,” Ms Tuhaka said. |

She also also expressed her thanks to the principal sponsor, realestate.co.nz, and the team at Event Cinemas for their vital role in backing the community and hosting the landmark gathering.
Before the main event, guests were treated to an insightful keynote from iconic designer Karen Walker, who shared her journey of building a global brand from New Zealand beginning in the late 1980s.

“By partnering with diverse entities ranging from global brands like Disney and Uniqlo, to local artisans, I’ve illustrated how combining strengths allows for faster innovation and greater creative reach.” Ms Walker also spoke to the importance of longevity and sustainability, advocating for a focus on quality and community service that allows a brand’s impact to endure across generations. The evening concluded with the screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2, a film Ms Tuhaka noted as “an iconic representation of the fashion and editorial worlds that many in the industry have long admired.” The event reinforced the Leading Ladies of Real Estate’s mission to foster an environment where professional success and personal connection go hand in hand, leaving attendees inspired to lead with courage and creativity. |
