Professionals New Zealand welcomes Sarah O’Gorman – A trailblazer in real estate business ownership

Professionals New Zealand is proud to announce its newest member and shareholder, Sarah O’Gorman, owner of O'Gorman Real Estate Ltd, operating as Professionals Hibiscus Coast in Auckland.

With over 15 years of success as a real estate agent, Sarah’s journey to business ownership epitomises the entrepreneurial spirit and the power of mentorship that defines the Professionals Group, built by real estate agents for real estate agents.

A Pathway to SuccessIn 2023, Sarah recognised the next step in her career: transitioning from a top-performing agent to a business owner. She enrolled in the Professionals Pathway to Business Ownership Programme—a unique initiative designed for driven sales professionals who aspire to build their own real estate businesses.

After a pivotal meeting with Shaun Taylor, CEO of Professionals New Zealand, Sarah was paired with an experienced mentor from within the group.

This guidance was instrumental in helping her transition from a sales agent to a business owner and leader.

By joining the four-step programme over 12 months, Sarah set up her office, expanded her team, and grew her market share.

Reflecting on her experience, Sarah says, "The Pathway to Business Ownership Programme helped me set up my business and also continue to list and sell to remain cash flow positive.

The culture of Professionals, support from the other business owners, and the head office team gave me the tools to transition to business owner a lot quicker than starting from scratch.

The brand is well known and respected around NZ, which also gave myself and my team more accreditation as a new business."

Building a Brighter FutureSince joining Professionals, Sarah has made significant strides. In December 2024, her efforts were formally recognised when she was approved as a member and shareholder of Professionals New Zealand.

Now, with a dedicated team of two salespeople, Sarah is preparing to move into a larger office space and is excited to launch a new property management division to further grow her business in 2025.
