New Owners Set Sights on Growth and Potential in Warkworth
A new chapter begins for LJ Hooker Kaiwaka, Leigh and Warkworth as new owners have purchased the business.
Greer and Robert Tulp are no strangers to the real estate industry, combined they have many decades of experience in sales, business ownership, and auction calling. The two have decided to add to their experience and have joined LJ Hooker as its newest business owners.
Principal Greer Tulp will be at the helm of the business, while Robert Tulp will be supporting the business as its auctioneer and in house trainer, while continuing with his other business interests.
“Becoming a business owner was always a goal for me,” said Mrs Tulp.
“During my career I’ve done everything. I started as a personal assistant before becoming an admin and looking after an office that had 20 team members. After working in real estate offices for a few years I decided to get into sales, and I’ve never looked back.”
After taking some time off to have children, Mrs Tulp worked her way up the ladder and became a top salesperson in a previous network she worked with.
LJ Hooker Warkworth first opened its doors in April 2011 when Viv Wyatt made the transition from salesperson to business owner. After 32 years with the group, Mr Wyatt decided it was time to retire.
Mr Wyatt wanted his business to continue growing, and Mrs Tulp is adamant his legacy and the work he’s done will continue to be built upon.
“Viv has created an opportunity that you don’t see often, a team that has been together for so long and are loyal to the office. Some of them have been here for 21 years, and it’s really cool to be part of this team,” said Mrs Tulp.
“I want to build on what Viv has created. I want to build a team that is energetic and are pumped to come to work,” Mrs Tulp said.
While she was raising her children, Mrs Tulp heard all too often about bad experiences people were having with salespeople. She wants to offer that alternative option that sellers, buyers, landlords and renters can trust. That is the vision she brings to her new business.
LJ Hooker New Zealand Network Manager Barry Grieve said the addition of Mrs and Mr Tulp to our network as business owners opens many opportunities for the team north of Auckland.
“Greer and Robert did their homework before deciding to purchase the LJ Hooker Warkworth office, and it is reassuring to hear our values, direction and motivation as a group connected with them. We are grateful they are part of LJ Hooker and are showing trust in our brand.
“Warkworth and its surrounding community will be well served by Greer and the team, as they know the importance of customer service and making sure buyers and sellers’ property journeys are a positive experience,” said Mr Grieve.
Mrs Tulp is passionate about helping with training and implementing plans that will help salespeople grow their success, and she’s excited to put that to work with her LJ Hooker team.
“The team is excited, and together we are going to work on dominating the north. I want to see LJ Hooker signs everywhere off the new motorway connecting Auckland and Warkworth. The new connection makes Warkworth a destination and not just a drive through town, creating heaps of potential for the area.”
