From Top Performer to Boutique Brand: How Karen Turner Reinvented Her Real Estate Career

ree

In an industry often dominated by rigid structures and franchise expectations, Karen Turner took a different path.

After a successful career selling property in Terry Hills, Turner joined the @realty network in 2018 with a clear goal: to reclaim control of her business.

For Turner, it wasn’t just about switching logos—it was about independence, technology, and a remuneration model that reflected her contribution.

Six years on, she’s done more than transition—she’s transformed. In 2024, Turner launched her own boutique agency, Turner Cullen Property, alongside daughter Bec Cullen, under @realty’s OASIS model.

Backed by a team of marketing, tech, and support professionals, Turner’s shift from agent to business owner has been seamless—and strategic.

“I couldn’t do what I do without the infrastructure behind me,” she said. “The support allows me to focus on what matters most—working with clients and growing our brand.”

Since joining @realty, Turner has doubled her income and surpassed $185 million in sales, crediting much of her growth to the platform’s commission structure, automation tools, and custom branding support.

The freedom to work on her terms, she says, has not only boosted productivity but reignited her passion for the profession.

“The marketing team are outstanding,” she added. “They work fast, they get it right, and they make us look like the professionals we are. It’s a real partnership, not just a service.”

The Turner Cullen Property brand was built to reflect their values—local knowledge, tailored service, and authenticity.

And while the marketing and tech infrastructure powers the backend, Turner believes the real difference lies in the human connection.

“This is the biggest transaction most people will make in their lifetime,” she said. “They want to feel like they matter.

They want to be heard.”

Operating independently while still having access to full business support has enabled Turner to offer a more personal experience without compromising scale.

“If you’ve got the drive and the experience, but you’ve been held back by traditional agency models, there is another way,” she said.

For Turner, that way has led to a boutique brand that’s deeply connected to community, powered by systems that scale, and underpinned by a business model that finally puts the agent first.
