Premium Real Estate Agency Opens in Christchurch

Leading real estate agency New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty (NZSIR) has launched into the Christchurch market.

The Christchurch franchise of the award-winning national agency is co-owned by local property experts Rosa Carter and Campbell Venning, who opened the new office on Papanui Road in Merivale this week.

NZSIR managing director Mark Harris says the expansion into Christchurch was a strategic move for the globally renowned brand.

“We have been looking to move back to Canterbury for some time now, however we required the right people with the experience and expertise to represent the NZSIR brand,” he says.

“We are delighted to welcome Rosa and Campbell on board – both have a wealth of experience in Christchurch property, business and investments, and will be an asset to vendors and buyers in Christchurch.” NZSIR had previously operated in Christchurch pre-earthquake.

Since then, the company – which specialises in premium property in all price brackets – has expanded across the country and now has 29 offices from Waipu to Queenstown. NZSIR Christchurch co-managing director Rosa Carter says the time is right for the brand to re-enter the market.

“NZSIR is a company I have admired since it was first established in 2005 and I’m very excited to now be joining the team,” she says.

“Christchurch is ready for an innovative brand like NZSIR – it’s well poised for success with the point of difference it offers vendors and its sales associates, with its global network and vast marketing channels.

It’s not just marketing speak but a genuine, national and global network that achieves results.” NZSIR Christchurch co-managing director Campbell Venning – who has more than 20 years’ experience in the property investment and sales industries – says he is looking forward to bringing an unrivalled level of service to the Christchurch real estate market.

“The NZSIR brand is synonymous with high-end property and we are seeing more and more properties in Christchurch represent that, from architectural new builds to post-earthquake renovations,” he says.

“We’re in the midst of a growth phase in Christchurch and there are opportunities for strong capital gains with strategic marketing to a broader audience.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the NZSIR brand with its history, people and commitment to quality, and generating the best-possible results for Christchurch property vendors.”
