One Agency has unveiled a humorous, horror-themed mock movie trailer titled 'Franchise Fees' just in time for Halloween.
The creative campaign uses a light-hearted, thriller-style format to shed light on a serious financial issue facing real estate principals: the significant cost of traditional franchise models.
The mock trailer paints a scary picture for business owners who are burdened by excessive franchise, marketing, and technology fees.
By adopting the tropes of a modern horror film, the campaign addresses a complex industry topic in an accessible and engaging manner, encouraging principals to consider alternative frameworks.
Mindy Powell-Hodges, Global Head of Membership at One Agency, commented that the cost-of-living crisis has turned a spotlight on the traditionally expensive franchise model.
"The cost-of-living crisis has put every business expense under the microscope, and franchise fees are no exception.
Principals are questioning why so much of their hard-earned income is diverted away from their own businesses.”
The trailer humorously positions franchise fees as the "real horror story" of the industry, a system that can feel inescapable for many top-performing principals.
The video concludes with One Agency’s core ideology, 'Earn More. Keep More,' positioning its subscription-based model as the clear solution.
“Now more than ever, financial independence isn’t just attractive—it’s essential for growth and stability," said Mrs Powell-Hodges.
This initiative is part of One Agency’s ongoing effort to educate the industry on alternative business models that empower real estate professionals by helping them retain more of what they earn.
