$50M in Property Sold Under The Hammer at North Shore Auctions

More than $50 million in property was sold at auction as part of The Event held by Ray White offices across the North Shore. 

Seventy properties went under the hammer as part of The Event, with in-room auctions at Ray White Birkenhead, Ray White Glenfield, Ray White Milford, and Ray White Orewa.

The Event saw a total clearance rate of 53 per cent, setting the pace for the property market in the year ahead. 

The top sale went to Ray White Mairangi Bay agents Tegan Stent and Kris Cunningham who sold 75A Selwyn Avenue, Mission Bay under the hammer for $3.5 million. The auction saw four registered bidders, with three participating in the auction.

The auction with the highest number of registered bidders went to Ray White Carpenter Realty agents Rochelle Brinsdon and Kristen Marks who recorded 12 registered bidders at their 46 Chelsea View Drive, Chatswood, auction. The property sold under the hammer for $1.61 million. 

Ray White Mairangi Bay|Milford business owner Shane Coote said The Event was an intentional way to kickstart the property market. 

“We plan these events to create momentum and make things happen rather than wait for things to come to us,” Mr Coote said. “And it's great to start the year with such awesome momentum! 

“We had a minimum goal of 60 per cent clearance for our two offices and managed to smash that and achieve 70 per cent which we are delighted with. 

“We feel this above industry average clearance was a result of a process that we have worked hard on over the last 12 months, and not necessarily the product of improving market conditions.”
