Green Star Advanced: Performance is a New Zealand Green Building Council course on Thursday 26 November 2026, from 9am to 3pm NZDT, delivered online via Zoom. The course covers Green Star Performance NZ v1.2, the rating tool for buildings in operation (existing buildings), and is the path to becoming a Green Star Accredited Professional in Performance. The course looks at how Green Star Performance provides a framework for verifying sustainability claims and planning improvements. Topics include the mandatory energy and water credits, building management, transport, indoor environment quality, emissions, materials including waste, land use and ecology, and innovation. Published learning outcomes are understanding the New Zealand context for existing buildings, recognising the importance of electrification, learning the certification process and key resources, developing skills to create effective submissions, exploring sustainability outcomes for buildings and planning improvements for your building. NZGBC says the course is suited to sustainability professionals, property professionals, facilities managers, Green Star Accredited Professionals, NABERSNZ assessors and clients thinking about rating their existing buildings. Prices exclude GST: $1,055 for members, $1,585 for non-members and $975 for Future Thinkers. NZRAB points available are listed as 80, and NZGBC CPD points as 6.
